Send Separate Emails for Each Recipients When enabled, separate emails with the report attachment will be sent to each of the recipients.

The following are the scenarios when emailing report documents to recipients. Suppose, you need to send reports to some of your customers with:

      Report Sample Customer Email Address
Sales Invoice 1 Customer Email Address 1
Sales Invoice 2 Customer Email Address 2
Sales Invoice 3 Customer Email Address 3

SEND DIFFERENT ATTACHMENTS TO DIFFERENT RECIPIENTS (IN SEPARATE EMAIL MESSAGE WINDOWS)

In this case, you need to send a unique report to each of your recipient that will be sent in separate email message windows. You need to check both:

      • Check – Email Each Record as separate Attachments
      • Check – Send Separate Emails for Each Recipient

SEND SINGLE ATTACHMENT TO DIFFERENT RECIPIENTS (IN SEPARATE EMAIL MESSAGE WINDOWS)

In this case, if you need to send the single attachment to multiple recipients but in a separate email message window:

      • Check – Email Each Record as separate Attachments
      • Uncheck – Send Separate Emails for Each Recipient

SEND DIFFERENT ATTACHMENTS TO DIFFERENT RECIPIENT (IN SINGLE EMAIL MESSAGE WINDOW)

In this case, if you need to send all reports in a separate attachment to multiple recipients but in the same email message window:

      • Uncheck – Email Each Record as separate Attachments
      • Check – Send Separate Emails for Each Recipient

SEND SINGLE ATTACHMENT TO DIFFERENT RECIPIENT (IN SINGLE EMAIL MESSAGE WINDOW)

In this case, if you need to send the single attachment to multiple recipients but in the same email message window:

      • Uncheck – Email Each Record as separate Attachments
      • Uncheck – Send Separate Emails for Each Recipient

Here is a summary of the cases:

        Case 1 Case 2 Case 3 Case 4
Email Each Record as Separate Attachments Check × Check ×
Send Separate Emails for Each Recipients Check Check × ×
Result Will Send Different Attachment to Different Recipient in a Separate Email Message Windows. Print Report From Connected Business

Any forms in Connected Business have inherent report(s) assigned to it (e.g. the Sales Invoice or Sales Order form with their respective forms). To print a report from the form,

  1. On the Report List section of the Print Dialog, select what report you need to print/send email or fax by ticking the checkbox beside the report. On the Email/Fax column, make sure that the field is set to Ready. Otherwise, refer to Specify Email/Fax to Recipients to configure Email and Fax settings.

  2. In the Filter Criteria section, add a condition to the report.

The system sets default criteria for every print dialog window of a form. It is highly recommended NOT TO delete the existing criteria to avoid errors in printing the report.

If the default criteria is deleted from the report(accessed from the form), the system will automatically include ALL document codes..

  3. Set the Print Destination, then click the Print button to send the report.

Printing Enhancements

While the ability to print reports is also available in previous versions of Connected Business, pages and forms load much faster in the v14. What once took as much as 15 seconds to load, now only takes as little as 3-4 seconds. Below are some of the printing performance improvements made in Connected Business v14.

Document Entered Recipient

This section in the Email/Fax Setting form enables the user to select the email and fax conditions from the list of contacts based on the data source.

In Connected Business v13, this section featured four options that sent the report based on the recipient’s fax or email details.

These options are as follows:

  1. Email Column
  2. Alternate Email
  3. Fax Column
  4. Alternate Fax

For information on their functions, please refer to Specify Email/Fax to Recipients .

In Connected Business v14, the Recipient Name option has been added. This sends the report to a recipient based on the name entered in the contact details. It will also set the address format to “Recipient Name” <Email or Fax Value>.

The Recipient Name setting is optional.

Page Range

Previously, in the Print Options form, the Page Range section had options for All Pages, Selection, Current Page, and Page Number field.

In Connected Business v14, this has been simplified, where you can choose either to print All Pages or specify which page to print.

Split Report When Printing to File

In Connected Business v13, the checkbox for the Split Report function in the Print Dialog form is unticked (by default). This means that if you want to bulk print several invoices, the result would be a big file containing all invoices.

In Connected Business v14, the Split Report feature is enabled by default. This means that the action will produce separate invoice files. You can always disable this function as needed.
